Retired, hurt, after many years in social care and several months off with stress. That was a couple of years ago now so began looking for something to do to boost income, give me freedom, be challenging and fun. I reckon modelling ticks the boxes. Was in the army for about five years late 60's onwards and found myself working with dogs and horses. Married, two sons, one blind cat and smelly dog:)
My son reminded me recently that it was he who suggested life modelling to me last month. I had completely forgotten, bless him:)

Member of RAM, #2156.Began this new life in August 2011h the man himself....Rankin and Channel 4.
Since then I have had several paid assignments with photographic artists is studio settings as well as at my home (then have home grown chaperone. Also worked at last with several groups of artists as well as solo artists, again also in my home. I have my image being beamed all over the world as part of a digital sculpting course, Back view much admired for muscle definition in the shoulder area (thanks to archery. Taken to it like the proverbial duck to water and now only happy when I have my clothes off. Love to pose for as long as possible without even a stretching time and find that I do seem to go into a meditative state, nice. I have not yet posed with another model but would really like to experience that. Have exciting things planned for December unless that evil 'best laid plans' syndrome mucks it all up. So folks if you want to book me...... get in early before I start to 'go off' lol.

I have been creative in various ways all my life , dabbled with drawing and oils but was not impressed. Discovered carving/sculpting in wood and was not too bad until tennis elbow struck. Played tennis at the time so not amused! Will upload the little I did later.

I started archery two years ago and really enjoy this sport..so much so that I lost three stone so my stance would look better! Not so bad on the training videos either. My choice of weapon: long bow and recurve. Did more with recurve this year and was asked to shoot for the county. OOOh life begins at 65.
I sang for many years in one of the best ladies barbershop choruses in the country, singing in Ohio, Hawaii, Albert hall, Birmingham Conservatoire to name but a few. I am thinking I need to get back to singing.
Ah! not forgetting World of Warcraft and the 25 characters I have to maintain. Now don't tut dear reader, this kept me almost sane during the social services years:)

I read and read loving anything by Steven King, Kate Mosse. Jodi Picault, Fay Weldon etc.....

Mark Twain's autobiography is the current read

Loving my Sony reader for travelling.

Avatar for the beauty, I was enthralled. I like any movie that draws me in and plays with my emotions.

Show tunes, some opera, pop songs of my youth, barbershop.

Currently Torchwood, any Si-fi but not too much watching.

Things going right

Things going wrong and being too far away from wonderful artists who actually want to work with me(

Hi Daisy - I am doing everything from fashion to Art Nude.

I think the site issues with photo uploads should be sorted very soon

Hi Daisy, Isn't it silly having to communicate through "comments"!! This is a good site as a concept but it's plagued with bugs! I too am a singer as well as a creator and although there is an impracticality of distance I hope you will one day think of taking a midweek break to the North Yorkshire Moors and come to sit nude for my charcoal or paint...as I would love to make a mature lady beautiful. (That is after all, how I captured my wife!)

Please feel free to email me at john@art2show.co.uk

Kind Regards

Hi Mark thanks for the comment. This image was drawn from a photograph as the draw weight of my bow is 49lbs and longbows don't really like to be held at the draw for a long period of time, So it suited both of us to have a photo., taken:)

Hi Daisy, I did wonder if it was. Aside from the bow not liking it, I wouldn't want to hold a pose like that for long! As I said though, it's a very nice drawing and a good pose too.

Hello Martin, you have indeed been busy. I enjoyed your website and was amazed at the performance art concept. Your wife was indeed brave. It will be my first time on the Rankin shoot on Tuesday but I have been bemoaning the fact that I am fearful of putting myself forward for life classes given my inexperience. I have had some lovely and very helpful comments from other LIfeArt users though so will try to buck up:)) I am envious that you also have been "captured" by Big Frog. I really like his work:)

Regards

Daisy

Thanks for the comment I was anxious the first time as well, so it is not unusual. Glad the video's help as that is why we put them on. You don't know what to expect the first time, I found everyone very professional.

Good luck

Thank you :))
