I am available for a broad spectrum of projects, either with artists or photographers. I can work with either a 1:1 situation, or a club or open class session.

I am very willing to consider all projects on their individual merit and content, as I like variety and enjoy the creative processes

Living in St.Andrews, I am fully mobile and comfortable with travelling within the central belt & east coast of Scotland, depending upon the opportunity. I can do most weekdays, evenings and weekend dates

Totally professional in keeping my appointments and in all other practical life modelling etiquette, I have a slim frame and I am mid toned in fitness

Please contact me and we can discuss any opportunities or ideas which you might have.

I can supply fuller body photos if necessary and appropriate

I have most recently been involved with 2 separate photography projects in Edinburgh ( one was a modern take on classic Italian sculpture, very interesting ! ) and art classes organised by established artists, but have also previously worked in schools and colleges in Oxfordshire. I have also participated in an art “installation” film fairly recently

I really love being a portrait & nude model, I would like more artist based work as recently I have been more involved with photographers.

I also like to work on my own drawing and painting too.I prefer life drawing, but also dabble in watercolour landscapes and still life

Apart from my art work I really enjoy being outdoors as much as I can so, walking, running, hillclimbing, gardening, golf and fly fishing all feature in how I keep myself healthy and occupied

My preference is for 20th century classics such as John Steinbeck, Graham Greene, Ian McEwan etc.

I would suggest The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck as my all time favourite book

Everyday / travel reading would tend to be political or crime thrillers

A wide spectrum of likes / dislikes, just want to escape and be absorbed by a film. This can be achieved by a great director whether the subject is fiction, comedy or classic drama etc

I'm not sure where my musical tastes start or end. At the risk of being seen as a sad middle aged (well late middle aged !) man holding onto his youth, I do enjoy much of what is current, eg Kings of Leon, Killers etc, whilst rolling all the decades back through to the 30's.

Also, there is always a place on my ipod for Bach, Mozart etc

I really don't watch too much TV, so I am very selective, but usually what my wife discovers

I like being (hopefully) a decent human being in how I interact with anyone. This approach may have not worked with ceratin more greedy and aggressive individuals I have met in business, but it has made many friends and that lets me sleep better at night

See above re greedy and aggressive / selfish people

Oh, .... and cauliflower ....yuck !!

Thanks for comment and welcome, I have been on the site for a while but had to create a new identity because I was not being recognized when I signed on!

Hi HLR

Thanks for your kind remarks - I'm in Cumbria so rather a long way from St Andrews!

If you're on facebook you can see more of my recent stuff - (I haven't been visiting lifeart since I was attacked by a virus last year but it looks like the security here is better now)

Best

Fliss

Lovely shots, I am sure you feel very good about them as well you should

Can I please ask you a question about LifeArt, I have just joined and wondered about how good you have found the website for identifying modelling opportunities in Scotland ?  My first impressions are not too strong

Hugh ( St. Andrews )

Hello Hugh,

Welcome to life art :) and thanks for your lovely comment.

I have found it a little difficult at times to find work, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of it up here, How ever this is the site I meet one of my photographers on and I found my life drawing classes here so I can't complain too much. If you are able and willing to travel a little it can help you open up some oppertunities. Some Artists will help out with travel expenses however  others wont so I would always check before hand to make sure it's worth it of not.

All I can really advise is hang in there and keep checking the forums out. Have you put up a post in the introduce yourself forum and the models looking for work forum?

Best of Luck :)

LifeART ...the artist and model network
Welcome note from admin:
Welcome to LifeART, the networking site for artists and models. Modeling can often be a solitary profession with no contact or advice from other models. LifeART breaks down these barriers and offers help and advice to all. Be sure to check into the forum to view topical discussion between artists and models.

Members are reminded to be careful with whom they make contact and to take necessary precautions when meeting anyone for the first time. Please report any suspicious behaviour to keep this a safe and friendly environment.

Members must not harass other members. This is not a dating site. LifeART shares information with RAM and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Reported members will be removed without warning.

Photos are allowed up to a level of artistic nudity. This is NOT an adult site. Art tutors do not wish to see anatomical studies of genitals and any such images will considerably reduce your chances of finding work. Repetitive self-timer images that focus on the genitals will also be removed. Also, no erections or images that could be considered to contain semi erections. Finally, please do not include frontal nudity on your MAIN profile picture.

Thank you for your co-operation and happy browsing!
