Hey there,

For those of you who have done work at universities (this question is open to everybody, but I guess I'm more specifically interested in the opinions of some of the younger, university aged models), how common was it to be approached outside of class by somebody who basically wanted to ask you out or showed that kind of interest in you? That's not why I'm doing this, but I figured it might be a decent way (as a kind of side benefit) to meet girls in a new area after I relocate for school.

Thanks!

Hi, this isn't my real name - I was Willow on here but had my account hacked today by someone with the IP address: 213.107.86.114. I shall delete this temporary account once I've posted this warning. PLEASE make sure you have strong passwords in place (a combination of letters, numbers and punctuation) as the person breaking into accounts is an old hand and good at what he does (sorry for the generalisation, but my guess is it's probably male). I've looked up his IP address online and it seems he's targeted many others over the past few years, and now his attention has turned to LifeART members.
Sorry, stay safe x

Well folks yet another summer is nearly over, the years fly by so fast when you are busy, and this has been one of the most busy one's I can remember since 2005.
The phone has not stopped ringing from 10 am till 8pm about modeling jobs being offered to me, lots from places I have never been nor ever will be visiting.
One from Norwich was good, another from Devon for 5 days was very good, but out of about 73 offers of modeling this summer I have only done 16, mostly because the places were too far away from base, or the work was not the sort I would ever like to do.
I did however offer lots of jobs to a friend who did take those on and liked every bit of the jobs.
Hope everyone has had a good summer.
from
David, Suffolk.

I've been a keen life drawer for getting on for 20 years, at various groups and classes in Brighton, Edinburgh and London, and in the last couple of years have crossed the floor and done a little amateur modelling. Brighton's a great place to be drawing as there seems to be a never-ending supply of fabulous models, and lots of enthusiastic artists of course.

Think this is the right forum for this little connundrum.

I've been asked by a tv company to show off an embarrassing problem of mine, which actually I'm not really that embarrassed about anymore. Basically, I was circumcised at a very young age and sometimes what happens is they don't leave enough skin to grow into, so it drags a lot of pubic and scrotal skin up onto the shaft of the willy and you end up with a very hairy penis.

Now, it's just a bit annoying, it hasn't really affected me greatly and I sort of think that in a grown up world, I'd be able to just pop into any of the millions of high street shops who do hair removal and get it lazered off, but since it's on my willy, they won't. In a bit of a drunken internet moment a year or so ago, I contacted a tv programme that deals with this sort of thing, but then sobered up and decided I didn't want to show my penis on national tv and forgot about it. They phoned me a few times, but I pretended to be out.

They got back to me again last week about a different proposal which wouldn't require me to be on national tv and I've provisionally agreed. Just wondering if anyone has any positive or negative stories to tell about appearing on this sort of programme?

I was in London yesterday, and indulged in a bit of tourism before a meeting. Leaving the National Gallery, I turned right to walk along Pall Mall, and was surprised a couple of minutes later to see, on my right, an artist and life model at work behind a big plate glass window. The female artist was forming a clay sculpture of the young male model in a standing pose. I'm not sure why, but I conformed with the other passing pedestrians in paying no particular notice to this anomaly in the street scene, so I don't know the venue or the reason for this unusual event. What did particularly catch my eye, however, was the fact that the model was naked, as might be expected, except for his rather garish printed underpants. If asked to pose in such a situation, I think that I would wear something a little less distracting. :decision:

I'm posting here on the look out for a female model needed to pose for a figure sculpture work shop. I would have done the class myself but I'm working for the drawing group down the hallway on that morning! And the organiser is having some difficulty finding someone. A slim female is desired by the teacher.

It is to be held at Vernon Mill, Stockport. Its a taught class called 'Introduction to Figure Modelling" and the class will be producing a clay sculpture of the model over two hours from 10am-12pm on the 11th Sept 2010.
It won't be completely nude - leotard/close fitting underwear is to be worn by the model. The pay, I believe, is 25 pounds.

Please send me a message or register interest below if anyone is able to help and I can give you a ring and put you in touch with the class organiser.

Recently there have many occasions that have annoyed me.Cars overtaking on the inside lane of a motorway when in the middle lane about to overtake someone and leaving plenty of room then entering my lane with about 2ft of space between me and them..Drivers on mobile phones.Cars parked in invalidity parking spaces when ferrying disabled people to supermarkets.Cars tailgating me when I have been driving at 30 or 40 mph within the speed limit, even flashing their lights.Overtaking on the motorway at 70 mph and having a vehicle zoom up behind me at a approximately 90 mph and not only flashing lights but when i have pulled over after overtaking ,sounding their horn and signalling to me that I should look in my mirror. In a traffic jam on the motorway vehicles driving up the obviously empty problematic lane then forcing in.Just today a guy in Sainsburys basket only serving just in front of us with a big trolley overflowing with stuff, and on exiting the supermarket I saw he and his female company parked in a disabled space when clearly nothing wrong with either of them.In ALL cases the vehicles concerned were either BMWs or 4x4s.Can somebody explain the mind set of people who buy and drive these vehicles? I think I know the answer but would be interested in other peoples views.

Hi,
I've just arrived on LifeART and I'll come clean it was mainly to keep an eye out for modelling work. I'm based in Suffolk and would be very pleased to model for artists, photographers, groups and classes, or any other set up that needs a model, body or distraction

I can see I'm in good company on the over supplied male side of the modelling posse but hope that as we all have something different to offer they'll be a few jobs which I'm right for. I'm roughly 5'10" and 10 stone (or 175cm and 62Kg) - which makes me slim verging on skinny but I'm quite fit and have been found acceptably 'cute' and defined enough to have pleased hen party groups - which I gather from the extensive forum threads is the gold standard :3:

I'm 38 and don't (normally) colour my greying hair but haven't been placed in the old category yet by all but the school groups where even Robert Pattinson is so last year:4:

I'm happy to entertain and discuss any ideas or offers of work - don't be shy! Hope to hear from you.

Seb

P.S. Reposted in the main models wanted forum as I put it in European by mistake
