Back to School and Back to School’s Disco are site specific, interactive comedies, whereby the audience are cast as students and whizz through a number of silly assemblies, lessons (from Life Drawing to PE), ‘enjoy’ a school dinner, pose for the school photo and then finally graduate in a blissfully cheesy School Disco.
We have just been voted the number 1 wackiest show to see at the Fringe and have secured Sue Perkins to be the voice of our School Bell, Dr Tracey Cox to distribute flirtation advice, Father Ted’s Pauline McLynn, the Natural History Museum's head Entomologist to lead a class on insect sex and finally just secured the inimitable Jonathan Ross to give the commencement address.
We are however casting for the life drawing model, who will feature in the 3, fifteen minute Art lessons. We are looking for someone who would be interested, at the same time as modelling, actually getting involved, interacting and performing to the audience of students. So those with an interest in performance sought.
The show runs from the 1-26th of August, tuesday-sunday, 4-5.30pm with extra shows at 1.30-3pm friday, saturday and sunday. The model would only be needed for 45 minutes per show.
As I am putting up all the money for this show myself, I can only offer the model £100 a week, but I can promise a spectacular show with a great potential for media exposure and reviews. Once we break even on 57%, all profits will be split.
If you can only do one of the 4 weeks please do still get in contact at clementinewade@gmail.com with a photo and a cv, outlining your interest in performing and your experience of interactive work !
Thank you so much,
Clementine
