Rodinesque
has been formed by
two Enthusiastic Professional Life Models who have
felt for a while there was something missing from
Art Colleges and Private Groups. So
inspired by the works of Rodin and other Masters,
they decided to work together to capture the essence
of these Masters through Creative, Sensual and Erotic
poses, which carry and convey energy. The idea is
to present to accomplished and enthusiastic Artists
an opportunity to draw or paint two life models who
have a real connection and who are not afraid to truly
express what is seen in the work of Rodin and other
Masters. See website for details: www.rodinesque.com

Deal
life drawing group (affiliated
to RAM) is a group directed primarily at professional
artists and teachers who comprise about 70% of our
membership. We also have several experienced amateurs,
together with a few younger students preparing portfolios
for art college entry. We do not cater for beginners.
We have over thirty models (male and female) who
mostly model exclusively for our group. They range
in age from eighteen to seventy and include a wide
range of physical types. The group has weekly sessions
on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings from
September to July at the Astor Theatre Arts Centre
in Deal. There is also an all-day session once a
month to allow a work to be largely completed in
one session. It is an extremely friendly group where
the model is regarded as an integral member. For
all-day sessions model and artists all lunch together
in a local pub. Further information is available
from Malcolm Gregory on 01304 373752 email

The
Life Group is
a lively group of artists, who meet each week (term
times apply) in Whalley, near Clitheroe,
to study and draw the human figure. Membership is
open to practicing artists in all media, who wish
to develop their observation and drawing skills. Artists
new to life drawing are welcome, but we must emphasize
that there is no instruction, this is not a taught
class. Sessions are structured and professionally
organized, usually beginning with a number of short
poses (2—10 mins) followed by longer poses. Both male
and female models are involved -we are always interested
in meeting new models. See website

Looking
for a workshop?
We
are sorry if you can't find a suitable workshop
listed here at this early stage of LifeART's
development. We are soon to start nationwide
searches for life groups in order to compose
a very useful directory for artists and models.
In the meantime please try asking your local
art retailer or library for any information.
They may be able to forward you onto art societies
that may either run occasional life classes
themselves or know of life drawing groups
in your area. If you are successful in your
search please let us know about the workshop
so that we are able to expand our database
and help more artists.
Do
you want to list your workshop on LifeART?
Please let us know if you would like your
life drawing group to be included on this
database. This is a free listing directory
and you may also include your a link to your
website. Don't forget, we can also promote
your models and artwork on other pages on
LifeART too. email
