51 year old who recently decided to pick up the pencil and paper.
i work abroad a lot and so use art as a therapeutic way to relax in the evenings when all alone...AAH!
One of the reasons why i prefer to work from photos as wellis that I can do the work in my own time without the need to find a model.

Initially I worked soley from photos that were sent to me or I sourced, but to be more involved in the whole process I started taking the photos myself after a request from someone to have a "nice" drawing done.

i have now worked with approximately 20 different models, mainly amateurs or first timers who tend to model for me in exchange for the art work.

me....never...although i should give it a go! see what life is like at the other end of a pencil or camera

I started drawing in december 2009 and originally worked from photos.
I still find that my best work comes form taking photos.
By meeting the models I can then see which photo captures the real "you" and then try and translate that onto paper.
I want to introduce more colour an attempt paintings but for now I have started adding a simple single colour to my drawings

drawing....obviously

Wide and varied interest.

I like all music except for some of the hardcore rap and not too keen on jazz.

documentaries. loved the recent Brain Cox stuff about the planets

I love it when a model has their own ideas or wants to try something new.
Doesnt always work, but then again neither do all of my ideas as well.

I really enjoyed looking through your sketches.

I like all the different types of women you've worked with.  A very interesting collection.

your life model drawings are fantastic. you say u work with first timers who model in exchange for the art work - random question as i am totally new to life modelling but i am solely doing it to be able to see myself through others eyes. I do not have much self confidence when it comes to being nude as i do not like what i see when without clothes, would you perhaps consider working with me as i am not in this for the money at all only to see a good piece of real life art of myself? oh and i am not a gold member on here so cannot receive inbox messages just to inform. Have a great week

LifeART ...the artist and model network
Welcome note from admin:
Welcome to LifeART, the networking site for artists and models. Modeling can often be a solitary profession with no contact or advice from other models. LifeART breaks down these barriers and offers help and advice to all. Be sure to check into the forum to view topical discussion between artists and models. Members may promote their services on the forum for free or subscribe to Gold Membership to have their profiles added to the search boxes to maximise their chances of finding work. Gold Membership is only £16 per year and also entitles members to send and receive messages on the main database.

Your account will automatically upgrade upon your funds being released from Paypal. This is usually instant although some forms of transaction take longer than others.

Members are reminded to be careful with whom they make contact and to take necessary precautions when meeting anyone for the first time. Please report any suspicious behaviour to keep this a safe and friendly environment.

Members must not harass other members. This is not a dating site. LifeART shares information with RAM and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Reported members will be removed without warning.

Photos are allowed up to a level of artistic nudity. This is NOT an adult site. Art tutors do not wish to see anatomical studies of genitals and any such images will considerably reduce your chances of finding work. Repetitive self-timer images that focus on the genitals will also be removed. Also, no erections or images that could be considered to contain semi erections. Finally, please do not include frontal nudity on your MAIN profile picture.

Thank you for your co-operation and happy browsing!
